General Meeting Minutes
November 12 , 2024
 
QCNYS- Candlelight will be hosting the consortium meeting Wednesday, December 4th.  It was asked that members sign up to volunteer to help host the meeting. Sign up for food, sell raffle tickets, take money at door, set up and take down.
We had different station s set up at the November meeting to make assorted ornaments.  You had the option to make a wine cork snowman, card holder ornament, icicles for tree, and make flowers for the tables at the Consortium meeting.
UFO- You can turn in your UFO list up to the November 12th meeting.  You have from November to May 2025 to finish your UFO’s.  For each UFO finished your name will go into a drawing for a prize presented at our June picnic.
For the December meeting we will be holding a community service night.  Please sign up to bring sewing machines, irons, ironing boards.  We will be sewing pillowcase, placemats, and putting labels on Project Linus quilts.
Secret Sister- participation is voluntary only.  Put your name on the Secret Sister list and you will be required to give at least 5 gifts, not to exceed $10.  These gifts can be anything homemade, a notion, candy, fabric or maybe just a card.  Use your imagination!
Holiday Stocking Challenge- The challenge is to make a stocking, any shape, and should be from 12-24” max.  You need to be able to put something in the stocking.  You need to come up with a carol or song and the stocking should depict the song.  Bring your finished stocking to the December 10th meeting.  You can tuck the name of the carol/song in the stocking so members can guess the carol.
